About Dr Tan

I am a dual UK- and US-trained urologist specialising in urological oncology and robotic surgery. Before establishing my practice in Malaysia, I served as an attending (consultant) urological cancer surgeon and faculty member at Yale University and Yale Cancer Center. I completed my PhD in uro-oncology at University College London (UCL). My advanced surgical training includes fellowships at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) and MD Anderson Cancer Center — ranked among the world’s top urology and cancer hospitals respectively in Newsweek’s World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2027. In 2026, I was honoured with the Hunterian Professorship by the Royal College of Surgeons of England for my contributions to surgical advancement.
