Pages are written from the published guidelines of the European Association of Urology, the American Urological Association, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and, where relevant, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, together with peer-reviewed research. Sources are listed at the end of our main condition pages, with links to PubMed where an article is indexed there.
Each clinical page shows the date it was last reviewed. Pages are reviewed when guidelines change or new evidence emerges. All pages on this site were last reviewed in September 2026.
